When I re-read this comic now, I tend to find the details a little rough and awkward (this creation was 2 years old), but it was my first comic resulting from planning, drafts, inking, and coloring--so definitely a breakthrough! 

My inspiration was a funny phenomenon: sometimes my stationeries can disappear suddenly, then pop up in unexpected places after I gave up searching. I loved dreaming up their “epic adventures” in my head, and I finally got them down on paper when I was 11! 

When creating my comic, I took pictures of things in my room and combined them with fiction, which I found incredibly interesting (trivia: Ella's room resembles my own! ). Special thanks to my amazing friends I sought references from— my electric pencil sharper, my alarm clock, my huge backpack, and of course, my grumpy trashcan! They are still in my room, and I appreciate their existence.
